Painesville Man Gets Prison For Raping Teen

A Painesville man was sentenced to 16 years in prison Thursday for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in that city.

Miguel Pina-Martinez, 32, was arrested at his home in October after the victim told a school counselor she was raped by him.

“I beg forgiveness to all the women in this courtroom,” the illegal alien said in Lake County Common Pleas Court through a Spanish-language interpreter. “I disrespected women. I hope someday (my family) can forgive me.”...
Chuck Schumer Struggles To Find Co-Sponsor

Heading into Thursday’s meeting at the White House on immigration, Sen. Chuck Schumer — the Democrats' point man on the issue — says he's "optimistic" about producing legislation this year on the hot-button issue.
Fraud & Abuse: Earned Income Credit By Unlawful Immigrants

Your U.S. Congress participates in and supports one of THE most fraudulent taxpayer abuse schemes ever concocted within the Federal Government. It’s time the administration put its foot down rather than allow millions of unlawful immigrants to step onto American soil—while soaking billions out of the U.S. Treasury.

Since the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) became part of the income tax code in 1975, it has quietly become the largest cash transfer program in the United States. At a cost of more than $44 billion per year, EITC spending dwarfs that of the traditional welfare program—Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)—and food stamps combined. More than 23 million households currently receive the credit...

Edwin Rubenstein exposed one of the most dramatic tax frauds ever on the American taxpayer: “Defrauding the American taxpayer”, Volume 19, Number 3, spring 2009, www.thesocialcontract.com , “The Earned Income Tax Credit and Illegal Immigration - A Study in Fraud, Abuse, and Liberal Activism.”

Illegal Aliens - Strain On U.S. Budget

An immigration reform organization says a new survey reveals that two-thirds of the American people believe illegal immigrants are a major strain on the U.S. budget.

The recent survey from Rasmussen Reports reveals that the federal budget and deficit is shaping up to be a major factor for this year's mid-term elections. In addition, says the survey, voter attitudes opposing illegal immigration and lax enforcement standards are one of the driving forces behind the budget issue, as about 66 percent of voters feel the availability of government money and services draws illegal immigrants to the United States...

Illegal Aliens Bump U.S. Citizens For Mental Healthcare

In the latest outrage involving illegal immigration, mentally ill U.S. citizens in Florida are being placed on waiting lists for treatment because public facilities are overcrowded with illegal aliens.

As if this weren't disturbing enough, state officials want to turn the illegal immigrants over to federal authorities but patient confidentiality laws forbid it because it would violate the illegal aliens' privacy.

The baffling information was revealed this week by a northern Florida newspaper that says the crisis puts the state at the forefront of a national debate over whetherillegal immigrants should enjoy the same rights to public health care as legal residents...

Informational Picket

Join us on Thursday March 11, 2010 from 10:30 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. at the Lake County Courthouse. An Illegal alien will be sentenced for committing a heinous crime in our community. How many more crimes will be committed in our community by illegal aliens, before something is done? How many illegal aliens have gone through our court system and paid a fine. We cannot wait for something to be done on a federal level. We need Bills passed within our state to protect Ohio residents. Senate Bill 35 and Senate Bill 150 will protect Ohio residents.

SENATE BILL 35
sponsored by Senators Bill Seitz (R - Cincinnati) and Jimmy Stewart (R - Albany) would mandate that the Ohio Attorney General pursue a memorandum of agreement with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement to deputize Ohio law enforcement officers as immigration enforcement officers. This would provide for the enforcement of both criminal and civil violations of immigration law. This memorandum agreement is commonly referred to as a 287(g) program.

The bill language below is also available at:
http://www.legislature.state.oh.us/bills.cfm?ID=128_SB_35

SENATE BILL 150
sponsored by Senator Gary Cates (R-West Chester), would provide that a board of county commissioners may direct a sheriff to take custody of persons who are being detained for deportation or who are charged with criminal violations of immigration law and to expressly authorize state and local employees and county sheriffs to render assistance to federal immigration officials in the investigation and enforcement of federal immigration law. Senate Bill 150 is a reintroduction of the last general assembly's Senate Bill 260, which contained the same provisions. The bill text is currently in the Senate State and Local Government and Veterans Affairs Committee
UFW, Growers Push For Path To Citizenship For Undocumented Farmworkers

Supporters of immigration reform are making another push to pass a congressional bill that would give undocumented farm workers a path to permanent residency and ultimately citizenship.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein is the sponsor of the AgJobs bill in the Senate, and representatives Howard Berman, D-Van Nuys, Calif., and Adam Putnam, R-Bartow, Fla., are backing it in the House...

The NEW Amnesty Bill

Amnesty For Illegal Aliens On The Way Back To Congress - 'Comprehensive' Immigration Bill That Includes Amnesty. 'Pathway to Citizenship' for Illegal Aliens.

The Obama Regime has tapped Senators Charles Shumer D-NY and Lindsey Graham R-SC to create a Comprehensive Immigration Bill. The bill was supposed to have been introduced and passed into law during Obama's first year in office. But a little thing called "ObamaCare" and "ObamaCare 2.0" got in the way. Not to mention, a recession and, lest we forget -- the near total collapse of the American economic system. So, immigration was pushed back aways.

Well, this week, the President will be meeting with Shumer and Graham for a progress report on the immigration bill they have been working on...

Crackdown On Business Owners Reflects Change In Immigration Enforcement (Cleveland, Ohio - March 8, 2010)

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The owner of eight Casa Fiesta Mexican restaurants across northern Ohio pleaded guilty last month to harboring illegal immigrants and filing false tax returns.

Ramon Ornelas of Norwalk probably faces at least one year in prison when sentenced later this year. It's a stiff penalty for a crime that in the past typically resulted in just a fine.

The conviction of Ornelas, 42, is symptomatic of a broader crackdown by federal officials on businesses that hire undocumented workers...
