AFP TOURS U.S. BORDER
This past week AFP corresponding editor Mark Anderson rode along in southern Texas with the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, a citizen activist group that patrols the U.S. border with Mexico . The work the Minutemen do patrolling the border has been lauded by the understaffed, overworked and often outgunned Border Patrol, who regularly risk their lives to stop drug runners and human traffickers and rescue immigrants making the dangerous crossing into the United States .
Mark filed a detailed report on his trip earlier this week, which can be found on AFP's web site here. Also, Minuteman sector chief Jim Barnes took time out of his busy schedule to speak with AFP from Mission , Texas . You can watch his exclusive interview on AFP's youtube page here.
