Motorcyclist seriously hurt in wreck with illegal alien

A Rocky Face man remained hospitalized on Monday and a man remains in jail on an immigration hold after a collision between a pickup truck and motorcycle Friday night in Tunnel Hill, authorities said.

Larry Stewart, 61, was driving a motorcycle north on Highway 41 just before 8 p.m. with his granddaughter on back when a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 pickup driven by Jose Jorge Patino-Monroy, 26, of 3720 Water Tower Lane, Tunnel Hill, pulled into its path off Campbell Road, officials said.

Stewart was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, where a spokeswoman said he was in “fair” condition Monday afternoon. His granddaughter, 7-year-old Baylee Martin, was taken by ambulance to Hamilton Medical Center with abrasions and cuts on one of her legs. A Georgia State Patrol operator said the wreck was almost a head-on collision since Patino-Monroy was on the wrong side of the road...

Immigration Amnesty Would Give Hundreds of Billions in Social Security Money to Illegal Workers

Unlawful Work Leads to Tripling of "Earning Suspense File" Over Past Decade, Says New Social Security Administration Data

WASHINGTON, July 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The "Earnings Suspense File" (ESF), used by the Social Security Administration (SSA) to track names and Social Security numbers that do not match government records, has tripled over the past decade. The chief cause of growth in the file is unauthorized work by non-citizens, according to SSA Inspector General Patrick P. O'Carroll.

Under an immigration amnesty plan, millions of today's illegal workers would be eligible for hundreds of billions in Social Security dollars, as evidenced by the dramatic growth of the Earnings Suspense File.

The new data were obtained through an information request by The Senior Citizens League (TSCL), and represent the first time updated information about the ESF has been publicly released and analyzed since TSCL's original report in 2007. The analysis reveals that:

  • From 2000-2007 (the most recent years for which data is available), the file grew by an average of $67 billion per year in "uncredited wages," represented by 9.8 million wage reports per year. That is more than three times faster than the $18.9 billion and 5.2 million wage reports the file grew each year during the 1990s.
  • In just the three years since TSCL's last report in 2007, the Earnings Suspense File has jumped 43 percent, from $585 billion to $835 billion.
  • From 1937-1999 (a 63-year period), the ESF accumulated a total of $301.8 billion; from 2000-2007, it grew to $835 billion. When data from 2008 and 2009 becomes available, TSCL projects that the file will have tripled over just the past decade.
Under current law, a non-citizen who obtains authorization to work in the United States at some later date may become eligible for Social Security benefits – even for work performed in the country illegally using a stolen Social Security number. Upon receiving a valid Social Security number, unauthorized earnings can be reinstated into the worker's new, valid Social Security account – without penalty, and at taxpayer expense...

Sanctuary Cities: Dangerous & Deadly

The patchwork array of sanctuary cities around the country is leaving dangerous criminal illegal aliens on America’s streets.

Local municipalities in these sanctuary cities prevent their officials from reporting illegals—even those with criminal records—to Immigrations and Customs enforcement (ICE), and it is costing American lives.

Sanctuary cities are against the law. In fact they violate two federal statutes.

“The case against sanctuary cities is very straightforward,” Kris Kobach, principal author of the Arizona SB 1070 enforcement law told HUMAN EVENTS in an exclusive interview. “There are two laws that Congress passed in 1996 that expressly forbid sanctuary cities and they are found at Title 8 Section 1373 and Title 8 Section 1644 of the U.S. Code. Those statutes say in plain English that a city may not have a policy that prohibits its officers from communicating with the federal government about a person’s immigration status.”...

Congressional Hispanic Caucus hints Obama promised healthcare for illegal aliens

The leaders of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus are now pushing for a provision in any so-called ‘comprehensive immigration reform’ measure which would extend healthcare benefits to the millions of illegal aliens now in the country.

During the contentious healthcare debate earlier this year, the Caucus threatened to withhold their support for the legislation due to language in the bill which barred illegal aliens from participating in the program. They only voted for it after receiving a pledge that any amnesty bill passed, would allow illegal aliens to take part in the insurance exchanges, and would waive the five-year waiting period for legal residents to apply for Medicaid...

77 House Members and 5 Senators File Court Brief in Support of Arizona

More than 80 Members of Congress have filed a friend-of-the-court brief in support of Arizona against the lawsuit filed two weeks ago by the Justice Department. The Federal Government and Justice Department argue that Arizona's new immigration enforcement law preempts power granted to the federal government, but the Members of Congress argue in their brief that not only does it not preempt federal authority, but Congress encourages states to assist in the enforcement of immigration laws.

One claim set forth by the Justice Department is that the Department of Homeland Security has chosen to be selective in their enforcement of immigration laws, and since Arizona's bill isn't selective it oversteps the Department's authority. The Members of Congress argue, however, that DHS receives its authority to enforce immigration laws from Congress, and as long as Arizona's law doesn't overstep Congress, the law is valid...

Illegal Immigrants Working At A Construction Site

Terrorist Nations Still Cross Our Border

Customs and Border Protection arrested about 52,000 illegal immigrants from countries other than Mexico in 2009. This number included countries known to export terrorism and the numbers from each actually caught, such as Afghanistan 4, Egypt 14, Iran 15, Iraq 16, Nigeria 29, Pakistan 41, Saudi Arabia 1, Somalia 19, Yemen 13, and North Korea 10. So much for national security. These numbers reflect only those caught, and who knows how many succeeded undetected. Border security is national security. If Mexicans can get in illegally, so can everyone else.

This is nothing new to the government. Their own 2005 study A Line in the Sand: Confronting the Threat at the Southwest Border, admitted that "aliens were smuggled from the Middle East to staging areas in Central and South America, before being smuggled illegally into the United States" and that "members of Hezbollah have already entered the United States across the Southwest border." In light of the need for greater border security exhibited by our failure to stop the September 11 attacks, it is difficult to believe that the Federal Government really cares...

And remember YOU are supporting ALL of these illegals no matter where they are now. Every time another illegal runs the border breaking our laws, your pocket just gets lighter and robbed more.
AND, they all are potential voters for the “progressives” — I’d guess that’s why the politicians are sitting on their fingers doing nothing to secure the border!!

U.S. Calls Illegal Mexican Pot Farmer “Displaced Traveler”

In an insane case of political correctness, a federal government agency has classified an illegal immigrant arrested for cultivating marijuana in a national forest as a “displaced traveler from Michoacán Mexico.”

The illegal alien (Gauldry Almonte-Hernandez) was recently busted during a U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement Operation raid of illegally grown marijuana plants in northern California’s Shasta-Trinity National Forest. So far this month, the feds have eradicated more than 92,000 marijuana plants throughout the 2.1 million acre national forest that encompasses five wilderness areas and hundreds of mountain lakes...

Obama's Illegal Alien Financial Bonanza

Last week, the US Senate approved the most far-reaching expansion of Wall Street regulations and the financial industry since the Great Depression. Part of that expansion of government power is President Barack Obama naming three nominees to the board of the Federal Reserve

Bank as it prepares to handle its vastly expanded duties “to ensure financial stability and oversee financial institutions.“

“To the left of even EU socialists, when it comes to deciding whether to keep careening towards insolvency or begin belt-tightening, Barack Obama seems stuck on stupid. Notwithstanding all of his rhetoric about the failures of the past, his economic vision is modeled after that of Franklin Delano Roosevelt,“ said columnist Jayme Evans in Canada Free Press.

At the same time, the Federal Reserve Bank continues to devise programs that will extend banking services to illegal aliens, and most of this money transfer scheme was created under the radar with few - if any - political figures discussing the subject.

One such program being utilized by illegal aliens from Mexico is a remittance program with the ultimate goal of bringing illegal Mexican aliens - who send money home - into the mainstream of the US financial system, regardless of immigration status. In other words, The Federal Reserve Bank is aiding lawbreakers in moving their cash around in the US and Mexico. This obviously includes the myriad alien gangs and more than 50,000 gang members who are involved in narcotics trafficking, identity theft, homicides, and other criminal activity.

“Directo a Mexico,“ the name of one such program, enables US commercial banks to make money transfers for Mexican workers through the Federal Reserve’s own automated clearinghouse, which is linked to Banco de Mexico, the Mexican central bank. Few Americans are aware of the connection between the Fed and foreign banks and this program would be just another that exists in the shadow world of international banking...
