Exclusive--Border Patrol Rep Claims Agents Being Ordered to Stand Down

[Breitbart - http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/10/02/Exclusive-Border-Patrol-Management-Orders-Agents-to-Stand-Down-While-Tracking-Smugglers ]

The National Border Patrol Council has come forward to reveal to the American public once again management practices that could be risking the lives of Americans -- and the lives of illegal immigrants.

Shawn Moran, Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council, spoke exclusively with Breitbart News and claimed that Border Patrol management has begun the practice of ordering Border Patrol Agents to stand down and cease pursuing drug smugglers, human smugglers and traffickers, and illegal aliens. He also warned it could lead to illegal aliens entering the country from nations associated with terrorism.

“It doesn’t matter whether it’s drugs, bodies, or how large the group is, our agents are being ordered to stand down by Border Patrol management,” said Moran. "I have received reports from our agents in every single sector from San Diego to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas that they are receiving these orders."

Illegal Immigrants Attend Paul Ryan's Immigration Town Hall

[ Breitbart - http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/07/26/Illegal-aliens-attend-Paul-Ryan-s-immigration-town-hall ]

Illegal immigrants attended the town hall event in Racine, WI, where House Budget Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) openly discussed the strategy by which he and House GOP leadership plan to pass an immigration reform package.

“One young immigrant, a ‘dreamer,’ voiced frustration with Ryan over a 15-year path to citizenship,” the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported. “Another ‘dreamer,’ Valeria Ruiz, 17, of Racine, prodded the congressman on deportations that divide families.”

Ryan received praise from a pro-amnesty group leader in attendance.

“It is encouraging that he is really taking leadership on this issue to try move a bill this year,” Christine Neumann-Ortiz, the executive director of Voces de la Frontera, said, according to the newspaper. “I feel it's important for someone in his position to continue to articulate the economic benefits of immigration reform for everyone and the moral imperative to do this.”

Illegal Immigration = More Identity Theft, More Murder, More Rape And More Drug Dealing

[End of the American Dream]

Illegal Immigration And Crime - Photo by Javier Ramirez

Do we want to encourage drug dealers, violent gang members and serial rapists to come into this country?  If not, why is that exactly what the Obama administration is doing?  Thanks to very foolish U.S. government policies, it is incredibly difficult to immigrate to this country legally, but it is incredibly easy to immigrate to this country illegally.  So we are keeping out large numbers of good, honest, hard working people at the same time that we have given a giant green light to criminals and lawbreakers.  Does that make any sense at all?  We need an immigration system that forces everyone to come in through the front door.  Instead, we have made the process of getting in through the front door a complete and total nightmare and yet we have left the back door totally wide open.  And if the millions upon millions of lawbreakers that are coming in to this country illegally just took our jobs and drained our welfare system, perhaps it wouldn’t be that bad.  Unfortunately, that is not the case.  In fact, illegal immigration has greatly contributed to rising violent crime rates all over the nation.  Gang membership is exploding, Mexican drug cartels are operating in more of our communities than ever before, and identity theft by illegal immigrants is at epidemic levels.  Something desperately needs to be done. DHS official retires after immigrants are freed

Chron.com

WASHINGTON (AP) — The senior Homeland Security Department official in charge of arresting and deporting illegal immigrants announced his retirement the same day the agency said that hundreds of people facing deportation had been released from immigration jails due to looming budget cuts, according to a letter obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press. The government said he had told his bosses weeks ago that he planned to retire.

Gary Mead, executive associate director over enforcement and removal operations at Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, disclosed his departure in an email to his staff Tuesday afternoon. The announcement of the release of the illegal immigrants had come earlier in the day.

President Barack Obama's spokesman, Jay Carney, said Wednesday that the decision to release the immigrants was made without any input from the White House. He described the immigrants as "low-risk, non-criminal detainees."

The announcement that a few hundred illegal immigrants were being released was among the most significant and direct implications described so far by the Obama administration about the pending, automatic budget cuts that will take effect later this week under what is known as sequestration.-[Full Article]

DHS releasing hundreds of illegal immigrants, blaming budget cuts

Fox News

The Department of Homeland Security has started releasing hundreds of illegal immigrants held in local jails in anticipation of automatic budget cuts, in a move one Arizona sheriff called politically motivated -- and dangerous.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said Tuesday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement released more than 500 detainees in his county alone over the weekend. A spokesman for Babeu told FoxNews.com that ICE officials have said they plan to release a total of nearly 10,000 illegal immigrants.

The numbers, though, are in dispute. ICE officials said that it's unclear how many ultimately might be released and that only 303 have been released from four Arizona facilities so far, though all those are in Pinal County. According to ICE, 2,280 detainees are still in custody in those facilities.

Babeu described the move as a "mass budget pardon" and suggested the administration was going to unnecessary lengths to demonstrate the impact of the so-called sequester.-[Full Article]
