Police who found a man hiding in the weeds outside a burglarized bar shot him with a Taser, Stark County Jail records said.
Officers said Javier Vacenas-Cortez, 26, who has no permanent address, tried to kick out a police cruiser window and then kicked them several times.
He was arrested at 2:53 a.m. Monday at Morrie's Place, 3305 E. Lincoln Way E, and charged with felonious assault on a peace officer, breaking and entering, felony vandalism, theft and obstructing official business.
Police went to the bar after an alarm there sounded, finding the window had been broken and someone had tried to steal several bottles of liquor, jail records said.
Jail records said the officers saw Vacenas-Cortez run from the building and hide in nearby weeds.
Officers also called an interpreter to the scene as Vacenas-Cortez did not speak English. But when the interpreter arrived, he refused to identify himself. Jail records list him as a native of Guanajuato, Mexico.
