GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Michigan — Police arrested an illegal immigrant April 16 at 9:12 a.m. in the 8100 block of Holly Road.
The man was stopped by police for driving 49 mph in a 35 mph speed zone, and gave police an Ohio identification card after being stopped. The man, who lived in Pontiac, said he had no driver’s license and had been living in the U.S. illegally since 1999.
Police contacted the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, who took custody of him after he was issued a ticket for speeding.
